The challenges of our society are waiting to be solved.

As a society, we face many difficult challenges, and we must share responsibility in addressing those challenges.
In Policy and Planning Sciences (PPS), we explore methods for addressing societal challenges so that we can arrive at the best solutions.

In the PPS Data Science Casebank,

we showcase how our students and instructors have used data science to explore innovative methodologies for solving problems facing society.
While some methods have led to solutions, others have been part of the process of trial and error.
We will share here our achievements in challenging the unknown and what we can learn from the process.

We have been selected as a cooperating school in a specific field in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s project “The Nationwide Development of Mathematics, Data Science and AI Education”. This website was created with the support of this project.
